Pictures of Rome

Ok, so not as wide a scope as promised, but here are some pictures of Rome at least. These are from Rome: Part Uno.

The pyramid near the first place we stayed.

A gladiator getting a quick bite to eat after a rough morning.

The Colosseum from inside.

The remains of the Roman Forum.

The Pantheon at night.

Yet another protest...

A protest so important that even Mr. Incredible got involved. I always figured he was a Communist... the red suit gave it away.

Me with one of the many colossal statues in the city. This one is in one of the Capitoline Museums.

I'm a bit too tired to go through the Greece pictures, so you'll just have to believe me that we were there. Tomorrow we head to Florence for 3 days with no free internet, so we probably won't update until after that. For those who are keeping track, we fly to Barcelona on the 11th.

Viva Roma!

We are now in richly historical city of Rome for round two. We flew to Rome from Athens on October 31st, and spent 4 days there. Then we went to Naples for 2 days to do day trips to Pompeii and Herculaneum. Unfortunately Carolyn was sick much of the time in Rome, so we are back so we can visit the Vatican and anything else we missed.

We have free internet in the place we're staying, so hopefully we will post more pictures of Rome, and the last week in Greece (and let's not even talk about pictures from Croatia and the first visit in Italy).

So for now, here is one teaser pic...
